After years of honing their craft by performing classic songs from the symphonic rock catalogue, Sound Of Strangers released their debut album “Crossing Borders” in 2023, and re-issued the album via OOB Records in 2026. The seven-song salute to five decades of symphonic and progressive rock was mixed and mastered by Jeffrey Revet (Stream Of Passion, After Forever) and received positive reviews both nationally and internationally.
For Sound Of Strangers, “Crossing Borders” marked both their official debut and the end of the first chapter of their career as a band, since both vocalist/founding member Serge Mannee and keyboardist Henk Zorge decided to leave the band around the time of its release. The band continued with Raymond Vermij and Ron Mozer joining on vocals and keyboards, respectively.
With this revamped lineup, Sound Of Strangers started working on new music. Over the past few years they have played shows with For Absent Friends and The One, and were critically acclaimed in many Prog magazines for their performance at the 2025 edition of Northern Prog Festival. There sophomore album is currently in the works, and will be released in 2026 via OOB Records.
