Virgin Grounds, the sixth solo album from Ton Scherpenzeel, was originally composed for a Dutch television series, ‘Conquer The Arctic’ (1991), and released then under the alias, Orion.  Several tracks have been rearranged and two new tracks, ‘Departure’ and ‘Arrival’, added.  An ambient instrumental 13-track album that takes the listener on a musical journey down a peaceful path of unexplored terrain. ‘As I dove into this project, I felt the old synthesizer flame more and more rekindled. I was inspired by images of the vast silver white landscapes and their overwhelming voids; reinforcing the feeling of human triviality when compared to nature’s sheer awesomeness.’
