After six years, Philhelmon’s highly anticipated third album, Into the Mist of Time, completes the Pop-Prog trilogy with a deep reflection on the fleeting nature of time in a dystopian world. Blending progressive rock with captivating melodies, this international studio project, led by Henk Philhelmon Bol and Ky Fifer, joined by guest musicians, explores themes of life, society, and human resilience. Tracks like “Carousel” and “A Piece of the Machine” critique societal expectations and the grind of modern work, while “A World Encased in Glass” contemplates the ethical implications of AI and technology. Personal reflections are found in songs like “Diamond Eyes”, She, and “Dreamtime,” which explore relationships and memory. With “Burning Bridge,” Philhelmon addresses the power of standing up for personal values, even at the cost of relationships. This album is a journey through time, technology, and the human experience—encouraging listeners to reflect on their own lives in a fast-paced world.
