Marcel Singor, born on the Dutch island of Terschelling, is a talented guitarist, singer, songwriter, and producer. Beginning his musical journey at the age of 10, he quickly gained recognition as a virtuoso guitarist, winning national awards by age 13. Over the years, Marcel has showcased his guitar skills across various genres and bands, starting with Xam, which released its eponymous album in 1997, before evolving into Maxville, known for its critically acclaimed self-titled CD in 2002. His solo work includes the albums “Futureproof” (2015) and “Travel Light” (2020). He has collaborated with Bas Bron on multiple projects, contributed guitar solos to numerous works, Donnie, De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig, and Rich Wyman. He joined notable bands including KAYAK, recording albums such as “Seventeen” (2018), “Live 2019” (2019), “Out Of This World” (2022), and he did the mixing and editing for “Back To Shore-Farewell Tour 2022” (2025). Marcel performed in Ayreon’s “Into the Electric Castle Live” shows, leading to a live album that charted at number one. Currently, he is involved in Plan Nine, the prog-pop duo Flight Recorder, and continues to write and record solo material, culminating in his third solo album “Anemoia,” where he plays and sings every track.
